Orbis Party Quest (OPQ) Guide
The Orbis Party Quest (OPQ) is one of the most rewarding mid-game team challenges on Zipangu, our free MapleStory v117.2 server. Set high in the Tower of Goddess above Orbis, OPQ tasks your party with breaking the seal on the goddess Minerva's steward, racing through jump puzzles and monster stages before the clock runs out. This Orbis PQ guide walks you through entry, every stage, and the loot so you can clear it cleanly with friends from our Discord.
What Is the Orbis Party Quest?
OPQ is a timed, instanced party quest built around the goddess Minerva's sealed steward in the Tower of Goddess. Your party works together through a mix of platforming, monster-clearing, and item-collection stages, all under a single instance timer. It sits comfortably between Ludibrium PQ and the harder endgame content as a go-to grind for levels 70 and up.
On Zipangu, OPQ rewards genuine teamwork over raw damage. Because we run honest 2x EXP / 1x Meso / 1x Drop rates and a strictly no pay-to-win economy, the gear and crafting mats you earn here actually matter, and clearing efficiently with a coordinated party is one of the better ways to gear up in the v117 mid-game.
Requirements & How to Enter
Head to Orbis and take the Tower of Goddess up to the entry room, where you'll find the NPC that runs the party quest. Your party leader talks to the NPC to start the instance; everyone else just needs to be standing in the same room.
- ▸Level: 70 or higher for every party member.
- ▸Party size: 2 to 6 players (you can clear with a small group, but more hands speed up the collection stages).
- ▸Start location: the Tower of Goddess entry room above Orbis.
- ▸One party per channel: if another group is already inside on your channel, swap channels or wait for them to finish.
- ▸Almost any class qualifies: Explorers, Cygnus Knights, and heroes like Aran, Mercedes, Phantom, Luminous, Demon Slayer and Cannoneer can all join once they hit level 70.
Tip: Pro tip: bring at least one mobile, ranged class. The cloud-jumping and grass-collection stages go far faster when someone can clear platforms from a distance.
Objective & The Goddess's Steward
The overarching goal is to undo the seal on the goddess Minerva's steward and ultimately save the goddess herself. When you first warp in, the steward greets you sealed and invisible, and asks for help breaking that seal, which is your cue to start clearing stages.
Each stage gates the next: solve it, the path opens, and the party moves deeper into the tower. Keep the whole party together at each portal, because the instance only advances once the stage's win condition is met by the group.
Stage-by-Stage Walkthrough
OPQ chains several themed rooms together. The exact layout is a tower climb, but the core loop is the same: clear the room's condition, regroup, advance. Here's the general flow you'll run on Zipangu.
- ▸Cloud Pieces stage: collect the required Cloud Pieces (around 20) to restore the path and free Chamberlain Eak, then the leader warps the party onward.
- ▸Jump-puzzle clouds: a platforming room across cloud platforms, watch your footing and let everyone make it across before pushing ahead.
- ▸Cellion / spirit stage: clear the spawning forest spirits (Cellions) tied to the room's reactors until the stage's spawn count is satisfied.
- ▸Papa Pixie stage: defeating the marked mob spawns the next named foe; finish it to trigger the 'bring the Life Grass' message.
- ▸Life Grass & saving the goddess: deliver the Life Grass to the goddess to break the final seal and complete the main objective.
- ▸Bonus / Minerva room: depending on how the run went, the party is sent to the bonus map where you can grab extra loot before the timer ends.
Tip: The instance timer is tight (around 20 minutes). Assign roles up front, one or two players collect, the rest clear mobs, and don't backtrack for stragglers unless someone's truly stuck.
Rewards: Minerva Gear & Crafting Mats
OPQ's signature payoff is the Minerva equipment line. Throughout your runs you'll accumulate the party-quest crafting material the entry NPC asks for, and trading the required amount nets you the Minerva Wristband or Minerva Shoes, solid mid-level gear for the effort.
On top of the gear, every cleared run gives EXP that's doubled by Zipangu's 2x rate, plus the usual mix of mesos and stage drops. It's a repeatable, fair grind: no shortcuts, no purchased boosts, just runs banked toward your next piece of Minerva gear.
- ▸Minerva Wristband (gloves) — crafted by turning in the OPQ material to the entry NPC.
- ▸Minerva Shoes — same deal, an alternate slot reward.
- ▸Doubled OPQ EXP from Zipangu's 2x rate, useful for pushing past the level-70 wall.
- ▸Stage drops and mesos that feed straight into our player-driven economy.
Party Tips & Class Notes
OPQ is forgiving on class composition but rewards coordination. You don't need a 'perfect' party, you need everyone awake and moving. A few general pointers that hold true across v117 builds:
- ▸Bowman / Bishop / mage classes: lean into mobbing and ranged clears for the spirit and pixie stages, prioritize your main attack and mobility skills as you level (1st/2nd job: core attack; 3rd/4th: AoE and survivability).
- ▸Warriors & Aran: great frontliners for holding spawn points, push HP and your signature combo/charge skills first, then utility.
- ▸Thieves & Phantom: fast clears and mobility shine on the jump stages, favor movement and burst skills.
- ▸Pirates / Cannoneer: flexible damage at range or up close, build toward your reliable AoE line as a priority.
- ▸Cygnus Knights, Mercedes, Luminous, Demon Slayer: all comfortably clear OPQ at 70+, follow the same principle, main attack and mobility first, defensive/utility skills second.
- ▸General SP rule: prioritize one strong attacking skill per job, then mobility, then survivability, OPQ is about consistent clears, not min-maxing.
Tip: Coordinate in voice or party chat. A two-second 'go' call before the leader warps saves whole runs.

Frequently Asked Questions
What level do you need for Orbis PQ in MapleStory v117?
On Zipangu, every party member must be level 70 or higher to enter OPQ. You also need a party of 2 to 6 players, and the leader starts the run by talking to the entry NPC in the Tower of Goddess above Orbis.
Where does the Orbis Party Quest start?
It starts in the entry room of the Tower of Goddess, reached by climbing the tower in Orbis. Your party leader speaks to the party-quest NPC there to open the instance for the whole group.
What are the rewards for clearing OPQ?
The headline rewards are the Minerva gear line, the Minerva Wristband and Minerva Shoes, crafted by turning in the OPQ material you collect from runs. You also earn EXP (doubled by Zipangu's 2x rate), mesos, and stage drops each clear.
Can I solo the Orbis Party Quest?
No. OPQ requires a real party of at least 2 members, all level 70+, and several stages need teamwork to clear in time. Hop into the Zipangu Discord and post an LFG to find a group quickly.
