Mercedes Class Guide & Build

Mercedes is one of the Heroes of legend — sealed in ice for hundreds of years and reawakened to fight the Black Mage's forces. Mechanically, she's a DEX-based bowman variant who wields dual bowguns, which gives her a unique kit built around mobility, multi-hit combos, and self-applied speed buffs. On Zipangu's fair 2x EXP / 1x Meso / 1x Drop rates, her fast clear speed makes her one of the smoothest classes to level without grinding feeling like a chore.

Two things make Mercedes a standout pick here. First, her movement: she's arguably the most mobile class in the game thanks to her dash, double jump, and the Spirit Infusion buff. Second, her link skill, Elven Blessing, gives bonus EXP to a linked character at lower levels — so even players who don't main her often park a Mercedes for the link. Mercedes fights in the air as much as on the ground. The two mechanics that define her are Spirit Infusion and Dual Bowguns. Below is a sensible skill-point priority for each advancement. Exact point counts vary by how you spread them, so this is an order-of-priority guide rather than a per-skill number list — max your main attack and key passives first, then round out utility.

• ▸1st Job (Beginner of Light): Prioritize your primary mobbing attack and your movement skill (the dash/double-jump enabler) early so leveling feels fast. Then take the attack/accuracy passive. Mobility first makes the whole class click.
• ▸2nd Job: Max your main 2nd-job attack skill first, then the mastery/critical and attack-boost passives. Pick up Spirit Infusion as soon as it's available — the speed ramp is a quality-of-life and DPS gain you'll feel immediately.
• ▸3rd Job: Max your bread-and-butter 3rd-job mobbing skill, then the damage/critical passives, then Unicorn Spike for single-target. Keep buffs and the Elemental Knights summon high on the list — the Knights add free passive DPS.
• ▸4th Job (Hero of Light): Max your primary attacks — Ishtar's Ring (line clear) and Leap Tornado (juggle/mob) — first, then your big passives (mastery, final attack, boss/critical lines). Take Wrath finishers and hyper skills as they unlock. Save hyper points for damage-percent and boss-damage nodes before cosmetic utility.

Mercedes starts in Elluel and runs through her own story tutorial before joining the wider world. After the tutorial you'll advance jobs at the appropriate levels like any class. With Zipangu's 2x EXP you'll move quickly, so lean into maps that match your clear speed.

• ▸Early (1–30): Finish the Elluel storyline, then grind nearby low-level maps and easy quests. Mercedes clears trash mobs fast — pick dense maps over single-target grinding.
• ▸Mid (30–70): Run Party Quests for big EXP and social play — Kerning PQ, Ludibrium PQ (LPQ), and Orbis PQ (OPQ) are all worth your time and great for gear/mesos. Monster Carnival (CPQ) is excellent burst EXP if you can find a party.
• ▸Mid-High (70–120): Keep mixing PQs with theme-dungeon grinding. Mercedes' mobility shines on sprawling maps where you can chain-kill across platforms.
• ▸High (120+): Settle into efficient grind maps that suit your line-clear, and start chipping at bosses. By now Spirit Infusion and your 4th-job kit make farming smooth.

Gear Mercedes like a DEX bowman: DEX is king, with attack (WATK) and % stats close behind. Your weapon is a Dual Bowgun — keep it upgraded and, when you can, scrolled or starred for attack. Because the game rates are fair (1x Drop, 1x Meso), good gear is a goal you work toward through bossing and the player economy, not something you buy your way past.

Priority order for stats and slots: weapon attack first (your biggest damage lever), then DEX across your gear, then secondary stats like critical and boss damage at higher levels. Don't sleep on accuracy early — bowman classes need enough ACC to land hits on higher-level mobs before your gear catches up.

• ▸Weapon: Dual Bowgun — upgrade/scroll for ATK; this is your #1 damage source.
• ▸Main stat: stack DEX everywhere you reasonably can.
• ▸Secondary: critical rate, % total damage, and boss damage as you reach endgame.
• ▸Don't forget accuracy early — missing hits wastes your fast clear speed.

Mercedes is a strong, mobile bossing class — her speed lets her dodge mechanics while keeping uptime, and Unicorn Spike plus her 4th-job burst handle single targets well. On Zipangu the boss progression follows the classic GMS storyline.

Start with Zakum once you meet the level and gear bar — it's the entry-level boss that teaches positioning and drops solid early gear. From there, progress to Horntail, then Pink Bean, and onward into the Black Mage storyline content. For each, the recipe is the same: meet the entry requirements, bring potions and status cures, learn the mechanics (Zakum's arms and seduce, Horntail's seduce/dispel, Pink Bean's body-and-head phases), and use Mercedes' mobility to stay out of danger while you DPS.

• ▸Zakum: entry-level boss, great early gear — learn arm priority and survive the debuffs.
• ▸Horntail: multi-part fight; bring status cures and watch for seduce/dispel.
• ▸Pink Bean: longer endurance fight across phases — steady DPS and positioning.
• ▸Black Mage storyline: the long-game endgame goal to build toward.

Even players who don't main Mercedes often level one for her link skill. Elven Blessing grants bonus EXP to whatever character you link it to, scaling down as that character grows — making it a fantastic boost for leveling new mains and mules on Zipangu's 2x EXP base.
